I knew everything at the start

14 x 18 cm | collage, pen & pencil on paper | 2004

Double page and still part of the original notebook.

'In 40 years I didn't learn anything, I knew everything at the start'...those were the words of Don Justo, the man who devoted his life to build a cathedral with his own hands in Mejorada del Campo, near Madrid. A homage to god and his mother, and an incredible mix of recklessness and courage. This little drawing was made right after a long conversation with Don Justo, as a tribute to his inspirational life.
